Commercial litigation occasionally takes center stage in a civil trial practice. The Faulk Law Office served as local counsel for Arcata Graphics in a three week jury trial in 1992. Arcata Graphics Company is a Delaware corporation which owns a number of subsidiaries engaged throughout the United States in the printing business. Arcata Graphics Kingsport, Inc. is a subsidiary of Arcata Graphics Company and has a division in Hawkins County, Tennessee, Arcata Graphic/Hawkins. The litigation involved multi-national corporations. The opponents, Harris and Harris S.A. were Delaware corporations. Harris had headquarters in Dover, New Hampshire, and Harris S.A., while owned by the same parent company as Harris, is a French company. Both companies were engaged in the manufacture and sale of printing presses. The jury returned Hawkins County’s first million dollar verdicts. Serving again in the role of local counsel, the Faulk Law Office represents the Dennis family and the Dennis Family Trust in an on-going battle with the majority shareholders and management of Tennessee Plastics, Incorporated – headquartered in Gray, Tennessee, the manufacturing facility employs about 1000 employees at its various locations.
